Upcoming show: Jan. 25-28, 2022 in Orlando, FL PGA Merchandise Show

PGA Merchandise Show

The PGA Merchandise show is an annual industry trade show held in Orlando Florida typically toward the end of January. A perfect time to escape to sunny Central Florida! Any student in good academic standing is welcome to join our team on this trip and see all of the latest equipment, apparel and gadgets that our industry has to offer.

The show kicks off with demo day at the driving range at Orange County National. This circular shaped driving range is about 500 yards across and the entire perimeter is occupied by vendors showing off all of the latest equipment in golf. If it can be used on the golf course, it can be found here. The indoor portion of the show is three days long and takes place at the Orange County Convention Center. Students spend time at the PGA Golf Management Booth where they’re able to interact with PGA Professionals from all over the world who are looking to hire the students for internships or full-time employment. It is not uncommon for students to walk away from the show with a collection of ten or more job offers!

Attend the PGA Merchandise Show

All students are encouraged to attend the show at least once while in the program and many students go every year. The program covers a majority of the cost of the hotel, which is within walking distance of everything. Students would be responsible for the remainder of the costs, including flights, meals, etc. Historically, hotel costs passed on to the students have been only $75 for the entire week. We usually stay at the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando, only ¼ mile away from the convention center. Complete with heated swimming pools and adjacent to a wide variety of great restaurants on International Drive, it is the perfect spot.

Missing a week of classes can be challenging, but the faculty at UNL have always been more than understanding and accommodating when students choose to take this trip. Everyone seems to realize the long-term benefits of such an opportunity.
