The expertise of affiliates of the Center for Grassland Studies includes a wide-range of topics affecting grasslands and turf, from prairie ecology and conservation, to livestock production and climate change. The Center has a commitment to interdisciplinary research and education, and our programs complement that of other UNL units, including the Department of Animal Science, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, School of Natural Resources, Department of Agricultural Economics and Center for Resilience in Working Agricultural Landscapes. We are also committed to initiating and expanding linkages in Nebraska and the Great Plains region with federal and state agencies, educational and research institutions, state colleges, community colleges, non-government organizations, practitioners, and others. This page highlights some of our main areas of interest and expertise, and draws on both our own resources and the resources of the aforementioned groups. If you have any questions about these areas or about a grassland topic not listed, please feel free to give us a call at our main office (402-472-4101) or stop by 203 Keim Hall on East Campus for a visit. We would be happy to help you with any of your grassland needs.

Each of the resource areas below can also be found in our news archive which features articles, videos, and podcasts with the most up-to-date information and research on all of these grassland topic areas.
